Liven Up Your Garden With A Water Fountain
Adding a water fountain is a great way to add life to your garden. These can be equally soothing and visually appealing. Hearing the water trickling from my water feature is very calming especially when I am sitting in my beautiful garden either reading a book or studying. There is absolutely nothing more calming than this. Water features are affordably priced and are quite easy to install and they will add life to your garden. Also, the maintenance level is nominal.
Normally, individuals install fountains for the benefit of the natural ambience it provides. Positive energy tends to be radiated when you’re in the presence of a stunning water fountain. Your water feature is also beneficial if you participate in meditation, Tai Chi or even yoga. Individuals have a tendency to focus much better when there is the trickling of the water feature in the distance.
Maybe your reasons for installing a water feature aren’t for its meditative qualities and that is fine, but your garden will give that feeling without even trying. I recommend it to anyone.
Your garden is your refuge, so whenever you decide to install a water fountain you should take care in choosing something that will add to your garden. If you have any other decorations, you want to consider if it matches with your theme. Does the fountain you are looking at stand out in your garden like a sore thumb, or does it look like it was intended to be there? If you’re like me, you can’t naturally tell if the water feature will be a beneficial addition to your garden by just looking at it. So I recommend that you either take a photo of your garden and take that with you to the store or take someone along with you who has an eye for style. By using both these choices you can see what it’ll look like in your garden and also another person’s viewpoint. By doing this I was able to choose a beautiful rock fountain that goes beautifully with the rest of my garden.
Power was my next issue, how was I going to achieve this? The home is really a good way from the garden and where I wanted to put my water fountain. I figured it would look pretty unattractive to run an extension cord through my yard, therefore I had to come up with another solution.
I discussed my situation with a Home Depot employee, and he immediately found me the precise solution I needed: an extension cord designed for being buried! I quickly had electricity to my water fountain by digging a little trench through my lawn with no evidence of the power cord. When I got over this small problem, my water feature plan went beautifully.
There is one more thing that you may want to think about when putting in a water feature and that’s a small water tank. This will allow you to keep the water level up without relying on your town water, which you will have to pay for. Water tanks come in all sizes and shapes and can be positioned just about anywhere in your garden. A number of water tanks can also be put underground so they do not take up any room whatsoever. There are also slimline rain water tanks which can be placed next to a wall and use up minimal space.
By putting in a water tank you are saving money in the long run. This water can be used for all your gardening needs, even for washing your dog. As today we have to pay extra for the water we use, if we can minimise this expense by finding another option like putting in a water tank, then this makes our garden more attractive and soothing.
Please consider putting in a water fountain if you want to add charm and style to your garden. The complete process is amazingly inexpensive, and I really feel you will be very pleased with the outcome. Having a water feature in your garden isn’t only tranquilizing, but it also adds a lot of charm to an otherwise plain garden. We can get alot out of our gardens not only vegetables.
Your garden should be a place to slip into and forget about the rest of the world and rejuvenate yourself.
