Garden Wind Chimes – Loud Wind Chimes – Bamboo
It doesn’t matter what kind of garden wind chimes you choose for your garden because the preference is yours. There are many to choose from. First and most obvious is metal or brass. These tend to have a more ringing tone and are often much louder then many of the other kinds of garden wind chimes.
Second are Bamboo garden wind chimes. These come in many different shapes and tones. The smaller and shorter the pieces of bamboo the higher the pitch will be and conversely the larger diameter and longer pieces will have a deeper tone.
Wood garden wind chimes have a much duller sound then the bamboo ones because the wood is solid. Now depending on the species the wood wind chimes will change dramatically as softer and harder woods have very different sounds. Large garden wind chimes will not only be louder but have a deeper sound that will carry further.
More exotic then the types we mentioned already. Garden wind chimes made from stone like onyx make for a very rich metal like sound that is unique as the stone it is made from. I have also seen garden wind chimes make from quartz crystals and granite.
You can make your own garden wind chimes with out much cost or hassle. I have plans to make a wind chime from old weathered animal bone. The sun bleached the old bones bright white and the semi hollow interior makes a haunting sound. The sky is the limit as to what kind of garden wind chime you can make provided you have the right material.
The preference is really up to you. Choose garden wind chimes based on the sounds you prefer. You should consider the neighbours before getting a loud wind chime. If you want a louder more ringing sound then metal or brass is your best choice. Where a wood or bamboo garden wind chimes will have a more tropical natural sound. You decide based on your own needs and preferences.
